Wethersfield Single Family Home Sales Activity 2003-2011

Sales of single family homes in Wethersfield continue at a steady pace. Although closed sales at the end of the first quarter 2011 trailed closed sales at the end of 2010 (37 versus 45, respectively), the 2011 sales activity occurred without the first time home buyer tax credit incentive. Wethersfield Single Family Homes–Market Activity as of 3/31/2011

During March the inventory of single family homes in Wethersfield increased by nearly 43% to 116 homes. New pending sales were strong in March with 22 of the 34 pending listings going under contract in March. The Spring market has arrived! (more…)

As the table below shows, the average and the median sales prices in 2011 are below those values for the comparable periods in 2010. Quench Your Thirst On Main–History, Food, Drink and More

In the heart of Old Wethersfield, Connecticut’s largest historic district, are three of the town’s most popular historic homes.

Judah Wright built the Joseph Webb House in 1752 after Joseph Webb married Mehitabel Nott in 1749. When Joseph Webb died in 1761, the home passed to his son, Joseph Jr. Joseph Jr. married Abigail Chester in 1774. The couple loved to entertain so much that the home received the nickname  “Hospitality Hall”.” In May 1781 George Washington was a guest at Webb House and used it as his headquarters. There he met and planned the military campaign with French General Rochambeau that led to the victory at Yorktown and the end of the Revolutionary War.

Leave the snow, the shovels, and cold outside, and cruise to the CT Convention Center where spring and summer await you. There is something for everyone –
